This place was amazing. We arrived around 4:30 PM, right at opening time, so we were the first guests. Thatβs why it looked a bit empty. We were greeted immediately upon entering, and the service was quick. The food tasted very fresh, and the prices are affordable. Our server was super personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. The experience was even better with the unique seating embedded in the floor, which really gave that Asian vibe. I highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for good sushi at a budget-friendly price. Iβve also ordered from them via DoorDash, and it was just as good. The service was good, and the food was amazing.

Great Sushi & Atmosphere β A Couple Things Holding It Back Stopped into Bash in Woodbridge on Sunday around 6:00 after a friend recommended it as one of the best sushi spots in Detroit. It was busy, but we were seated within a few minutes. The restaurant was super clean, the decor and atmosphere were awesome, and everyone was friendly. The food was excellent. We started with a pork appetizer that was absolutely amazing, and I had the California roll, which was also great. The person I was with ordered several other dishes that looked incredibleβI'm just more of a basic sushi guy! My biggest complaint was the beer pricing. Almost $10 for a 12 oz. can of a pretty average domestic IPA seemed excessive when I normally see the same type of beer for $5β$6 elsewhere. I ended up just skipping the beer. The only other issue was service, and honestly, I don't blame our waiter. He was friendly and working hard, but he was also constantly handling carryout and DoorDash orders while trying to take care of his tables. The other servers seemed focused solely on their tables, so I'm not sure if they were short-staffed or if that's their normal setup. Either way, it made our server less attentiv

Fun traditional seating where you can take shoes off but also has normal booths and tables. Great sushi and desserts. Noodle options were good too.

Everything about this meal was spectacular. The presentation is truly thoughtful, especially how they serve the rolls on a rustic wooden board. The variety of rolls impressed me. I particularly enjoyed the ones topped with crispy fried onions, which added such a great texture to every bite. This place is a gem. I will definitely be back soon.

Bash is an absolutely beautiful Japanese sushi restaurant with traditional floor seating and hardwood decor throughout. The menu is extensive and each dish is plated with care. While I am an herbivore and did not eat any fish, I cannot attest to the quality of the traditional sushi. But judging from the busy dining room, they are obviously doing something right. Now a note about their vegetarian menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. However, somewhat boring and uninspired. Taking different combinations of vegetables and rolling them up in the same rice and nori doesn't really allow for much variation. After a while the flavors get muddled together and there's no real distinction between the rolls. I was looking for more texture, like maybe a deep fried rice ball topped with marinated enoki mushrooms. I was definitely disappointed at the lack of mushrooms on the vegetarian menu. Highlighting the flavor and texture of a specific vegetable and elevating that would be a wonderful addition to the current offerings. Also calling wakame an "assorted seaweed salad" is somewhat misleading and a definite letdown when it arrives at the table. Their other dishes like the udon noodles wit
